In the Bat Cave: Tiergarten Schönbrunn

rying to warm up during my visit to the Vienna Zoo sends me into the tropical house where the temperature (and humidity) is a balmy 85 degrees. One of the exhibits are the bats - but a unique way (I think) to showcase these animals is with an interactive bat cave. One walks into the darkness - save for the blue light inside - and the bats are flying about overhead squeaking. It was actually a very interesting experience...and not one bat flew into my hair!
