This cool 1904 postcard of the castle in Quedlinburg shows how different (or similar) this structure was 120 years ago. There are some obvious changes but has survived quite well. It looks like I was standing in almost the exact same spot as the photographer had before. Some aging of the photo, adjusting the perspective, and changing it to black and white helped the photo tremendously.
