This somewhat faded poorly printed postcard from turn of the century Amsterdam caught my eye – another photo that looked very familiar to me.. Sure enough – I had a photo from almost the exact same spot from my visit to Amsterdam in November of 2018. Although it seems that the original photographer stood on the bank of the canal and was a few yards more forward than I. I had problems getting the photo to a place that it matched the original. I think the original is a printing of a hand colored black and white photo. Neither the hand coloring nor the printing are properly aligned in the original, giving it a unique look that is not easy to duplicate.
