Scrolling through some old postcards from Schwerin, I happen across this one from the mid-1950s. Something about the photo on the postcard looked familiar to me. Lo and behold! I have taken almost the exact same photo on a visit to Schwerin in December, 2016. It seems that the original photographer stood a few feet back and closer to the left sidewalk than I did but it is pretty close. In addition to the time of day (it looks like the original was taken earlier in the day), the lens they used had some interesting compression that I was not able to replicate. All-in-all, though, I am happy that I was able to replicate this so closely.
